He Came to Show the Way
John 10:10 (NIV)
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10 (NIV)
The second sentence in the above Scripture is so heart-warming and full of life. We clearly see an explicit reason for which Jesus came: for everyone to have and enjoy life to the fullest. He came so that you can enjoy the life He planned for you, and He doesn’t want anyone to rob you of it.
It may be difficult for some to understand and accept this truth because of the negative experience they had for a long time. Nevertheless, Jesus came for you to enjoy life till it overflows. Always remember that Jesus, our Saviour, died and was sacrificed for us. He gave His life for us to have eternal life with Him.
Romans 5:8 states, “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” What a restoration! It is on this basis that we’re to have and enjoy life to the full – till it overflows.
Your heavenly Father delights in seeing you joyful, brimming with life, vibrant, strong, and courageous. Therefore, accept and embrace the plan He has for you to have and enjoy life to the full – till it overflows.
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, let us contemplate the life of peace, abundant grace, and reconciliation that our heavenly Father has given us through Jesus. Have a Christ-centered Christmas.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your plan for me to have and enjoy life to the full. I’m filled with joy as I accept and embrace the life of peace, abundant grace, and reconciliation. Help me to walk in Your fullness in the name of Jesus, Amen.
